1.This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. Heard.

3. In this Writ Petition, the petitioner prays to quash the Office Order No. NOR-2/93-338/AG dated 02.11.1993 issued by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Odisha i.e. Opposite Party No.1 deciding to follow the principles for filling up the vacancies for the post of Junior Soil Conservation Officers which are quoted below:- i) 65% of vacancies of the Junior Soil Conservation Officers in a year shall be filled up by direct recruitment of candidates possessing the prescribed qualification.

ii) 17.5% of the vacancies in a year shall be filled up by departmental candidates possessing B.Sc. in Agriculture.

// 2 // iii) Remaining 17.5 % vacancies shall be filled up by promotion according to existing criteria.

iv) If in any particular year departmental candidates with B.Sc.

in Agriculture are not available, the un-utilized quota shall be filled up by direct recruitment.

4. He further submits that the grievance of the petitioner has already been redressed.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous.
