Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

This is successive bail application filed by the petitioner, his earlier bail application being rejected by this Court as per order passed in BLAPL No. 9338 of 2020. There is no change in circumstances for the Court to take a different view than what was taken earlier. As such, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore, rejected. However, considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 3rd December, 2020 and trial has not yet commenced learned Court below is directed to expedite the trial and to conclude the same as early as possible, preferably within a period of eight months.

The BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
