1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.

2. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

3. The Appellant has preferred this Criminal Appeal challenging the order dated 13.04.2022 passed by the learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Ganjam, Berhampur in G.R. Case No.22/2017, arising out of Golanthara P.S. Case No.182 of 2017 with a prayer to release him on bail.

4. Mr. D. Mund, learned Additional Government Advocate submits that the Appellant after being released on interim bail was involved in three cases i.e. Golenthara P.S. Case No. 193 of 2020, 282 of 2020 and 338 of 2020 and he did not surrender in the court below on the date fixed, but managed to get extension of his

// 2 // interim bail from the court below. It is further submitted that the Appellant has arrested in the meantime been on 21.05.2020 in connection with Golenthara P.S. Case No. 182 of 2017.

5. In view of such submissions, the bail prayer of the Appellant stands rejected.

6. Accordingly, the CRLA is dismissed.

7. As the trial is yet to be completed, the trial court is directed to finish the trial within the stipulated period as fixed vide order dated 08.09.2021 passed in CRLA No.259 of 2020. This Court hopes and trusts that the trial court shall do needful.

8. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
