Heard learned counsel appearing for the parties. Order No.

By filing the writ petition against the Keonjhar Municipality, Mr.Mishra, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner bringing through the pleading submitted that even till 2020 these petitioners were being assessed @ of Rs.1,000/- per annum towards holding tax it is alleged that without any alternation in the house or increase in the size of the house and without additional benefit even provided by the Municipality, there has been increase in the holding tax from Rs.1,000/- to nearly Rs.14,000/- It is also alleged that there is no involvement of such petitioner before such hike is made. This Court finds the representations of the petitioners are pending as of now. 3.
Considering fourteen time increase in the assessment of holding tax, this Court instead of entertaining the writ petition to see a delay result of such Department to provide one opportunity to the petitioners to approach the Municipality involved herein through their grievance involving holding tax revision making individual application at least within a period of two weeks hence and such application shall be considered by the Executive Officer, Keonjhargarh Municipalityopposite party no.2 or the competent authority involved subject to however each of the petitioners depositing at least 25% of the assessment involved which shall also be without prejudice to their rights
// 2 // and claim involving representations. In the process of reconsideration, petitioners shall also be involved. Till such a period, there shall be no coercive action involving the petitioners involving assessment aspect. 4.
The writ petition stands disposed of with the observation and direction made hereinabove.
