Heard Mr. A. Pattanaik, learned counsel for the Petitioner, Mr. B. Panigrahi, learned Additional Standing Counsel for Opposite Party - State and Mr. P.K. Das, learned counsel for the informant. 3.
This is an application under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of bail to the Petitioner Chilu @ Sanjeev Kumar Prusty in connection with Ghasipura P.S. Case No.51 of 2019 corresponding to S.T. Case No.42 of 2019 (G.R. (G.N.) Case No.92 of 2019) pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Anandapur for alleged commission of offence under Section 120-B/302/201 of the Indian Penal read with Section 25(a)/27(i) of Arms Act. 4.
It is submitted on behalf of the Petitioner that he is inside custody since 27th March, 2019 and in the meantime the trial has progressed to substantial extent where 41 witnesses have been
examined. It is also submitted that as per the statement of the witnesses no direct implication against the Petitioner is forthcoming. 5.
After hearing Mr. Pattanaik, learned counsel for the Petitioner, Mr. Panigrahi, learned ASC for the State as well as Mr. Das, learned counsel for the informant and upon perusal of the records it reveals that the two key witnesses who are the daughters of the deceased are yet to be examined and as per the submissions the date of trial is fixed to 9th and 10th of August, 2022. Upon perusal of the evidence of such witnesses as produced on record as well in course of hearing, I am not inclined to release the Petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is rejected.

The BLAPL is dismissed.
