Mr. Mohanty, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner Order No.

and submits, there is a cloud over his client's entitlement to renewal of his drug licence, expiring in December, 2022. So much so, that the authority has threatened suspension and/or cancelation of the licence. This is because the authority says the land, over which the drug store stands, has been acquired. He submits, current rent for the premises his client has paid to the landlord.

He draws attention to show-cause notice dated 11th April, 2022 issued by the authority and his client's reply dated 25th April, 2022. He submits, in the meantime his client be protected against suspension or cancellation of the licence.

Mr. Panda, learned advocate, Additional Government Advocate appears on behalf of the authority and submits, said show-cause notice gave thirty days time to petitioner. Petitioner has replied within that time. The authority will duly consider the reply and take a decision. As such, there should not be interference.

The Court relies on submissions made by Mr. Panda regarding the authority due to take decision in normal course. In event the decision is to suspend or cancel the licence, such decision will remain stayed for two weeks from date of communication to petitioner. If no decision is taken during tenure of the licence, due to expire in December, 2022, and if petitioner duly applies for renewal, the renewal must be granted, unless some otherwise cause is there to refuse. 5.

The writ petition is disposed of.
