This matter is taken up today in the National Lok Adalat through hybrid mode.

Learned counsels for the appellant - Insurance Company and respondent No.1- claimant are present. The memo in support of the compromise between the parties is kept in the record. 3.
The learned Addl. District Judge -cum- M.A.C.T., Jeypore in MAC Case No. 18 of 2014 (T) had directed the appellant to pay an amount of Rs.6,50,100/- (Rupees six lakhs fifty thousand one hundred) only to the Respondent No.1Claimant alongwith interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum to be calculated from the date of filing of the application i.e. 03.02.2014 till date of payment.
It is now agreed that a modified consolidated amount of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees nine lakhs) only shall be paid by the
// 2 // insurance company to the Respondent No.1-Claimant within a period of eight weeks.

It is therefore directed that the appellant-insurance company shall deposit the aforesaid modified consolidated amount of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees ten lakhs) only within a period of eight weeks from today before the Tribunal. 5.
As the settlement is arrived at before the National Lok Adalat, no court fee shall be levied. On production of proof of deposit, the statutory amount shall be refunded to the appellant Insurance Company along with accrued interest, on proper application.

The right of recovery as granted by the Tribunal is confirmed.

The MACA is accordingly disposed of.
8.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
