Heard Mr.K.A.Guru, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. P.K.Rout, learned Addl. Government Advocate for the State. 3.

According to Mr. Guru, learned counsel for the petitioners though the lands on which the family of the petitioners are living have been acquired for industrial purpose, but their names have not been included in the list of Project Displaced Families. He further submits that though for redressal of grievances, the petitioner No.1 has approached this Court in W.P. (C) No.8766 of 2017, however, on 03.07.2017, the said writ petition was withdrawn by petitioner No.1 with liberty to approach the Collector, Sambalpur (opp. party No.2) for redressal of his grievance. Pursuant to such order, though petitioner No.1 moved the District Collector, Sambalpur on 01.11.2017 under Annexure-6 series, but till date, no final decision has been taken on such representation. Under such circumstances, he has prayed that a direction may be issued to the Collector, Sambalpur (opp. party No.2) to take a decision on the above mentioned representation within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this court disposes of the writ petition

directing the Collector, Sambalpur (opp. party No.2) to take a final decision on the representation filed by the petitioner No.1 under Annexure-6 series dated 01.11.2017 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order in accordance with law, if no decision has yet been taken on the same and communicate the result of such decision to the petitioner No.1.
