This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The grievance of the Petitioner in this writ petition is with regard to alleged demand of higher fees for re-registration of vehicle bearing Registration No.OR-09-G-6995. 3.
In course of hearing, Mr. Behera, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. Nayak, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that interest of justice will be best served, if the Petitioner makes an application under Section 41(8) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (for short 'the Act') by depositing fees as required under Sub-Section 9 of the said provision and prays for a direction for consideration of the same in accordance with law.

Mr. Behera, learned Standing Counsel for Transport Department submits that in the event, the Petitioner makes an application in proper format along with prescribed fees, his application can be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction that in the event, the Petitioner files an application for re-registration of his vehicle in the prescribed form by depositing the fees as prescribed, the same shall be considered by the Authority in accordance with law expeditiously.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
