The Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) A writ of mandamus or an appropriate writ may be issued commanding the opposite parties to regularize the services of the petitioners as they rendered more than 8 years of service in the capacity of DLRs/SEMs employees keeping in view the order passed by this Hon'ble Court in the case of Chittaranjan Mohapatra vs. State of Odisha and others (W.P.(C) No.3921 of 2006 disposed of on 16.07.2019), which has been upheld by the Hon'ble Apex Court in SLP (C) No.13610 of 2020, disposed of on 17.11.2020 (Member Secretary Orissa Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Bhubaneswar vrs.
Chittaranjan Mohapatra), and in the case of Secretary, State of Karnataka and Ors. Vrs. Uma Devi and Ors.
reported in 2006 (4) SCC 1 and also in the case of State of Karnataka and Ors. Vs. M.L.Keshari and Ors. reported in 2010 (II) OLR (SC) 982 as well as in the case of Amarkanti Ray vrs. State of Bihar, reported in 2008 (8) SCC 265, with all consequential benefits within a time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court".

He further submits that through highlighting her grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation on 14.12.2021 at Annexure-5 to the Writ Petition, before the opposite party No.1 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party no.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
