1. The present writ appeal is not even maintainable since it is directed against an order of the learned Single Judge upholding the award of the Labour Court, which was obviously in exercise of the jurisdiction under Article 227 of the Constitution.

2. On the ground of maintainability itself, therefore, the present writ appeal is dismissed but in the circumstances with no order as to costs.
