Heard Mr. Panda, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 2.
According to Mr. Panda, the petitioner, who happens to be the informant, is aggrieved by the manner in which investigation is going on in connection with Soro P.S. Case No.145 of 2022 registered for commission of offences under Sections 294/323/ 354-B/448/427/506/34 of I.P.C.

On instruction, Mr. Mohanty submits that much prior to filing of this case, on 18.04.2022 one of the accused person namely Ratikanta Panda was already arrested by the police and the investigation is still going on. In reply, Mr. Panda submits that after registration of F.I.R., the other accused persons are harassing the petitioner and his family members and though he has submitted a representation on 06.04.2022 before the Superintendent of Police, Balasore (opposite party No.2) under Annexure-4 through speed post however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a
// 2 // direction be issued to the Superintendent of Police, Balasore to take a decision on the representation of the petitioner within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Balasore to take a decision on the representation dated 06.04.2022 of the petitioner under Annexure-4 in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 5.
Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
