1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.

2. In this Writ Petition, the Petitioner challenges the legality of the order dated 20.07.2016 passed by the Opposite Party No.2/ Member Secretary, State Pollution Control Board, Odisha, Bhubaneswar rejecting the objection filed by the Petitioner pursuant to the order dated 08.06.2016 passed by this Court in W.P.(C) No.10000 of 2016; wherein the said Opposite Party No.2 directed the Petitioner to pay the balance amount of

// 2 // environmental compensation/ penalty amounting to Rs.3.50 lakhs to the Board within 7 days failing which appropriate action as deemed fit would be taken in meticulous compliance of the order of the National Green Tribunal.

3. At the outset, Mr. S.K. Mishra, learned counsel for the Opposite Party Nos.2 and 3/ State Pollution Control Board submits that since the amount of compensation has already been paid, hence, nothing more survives in the matter to be decided.

4. In such view of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous.

5. Interim order passed earlier stands vacated. .
