Since the auction notice was issued on 18.02.2014 for grant of licence for a period of one year, i.e., 2014-2015 and, as such, the said has already been over, by efflux of time, the writ petition has become infructuous.

In such view of the matter, the writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous. However, If any cause of action still survives, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the appropriate forum in accordance with law.
