This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

The brief facts of the case are that the petitioner herein including other seven Petitioners as named in the separate Writ Petitions had preferred eight Writ Petitions whereby this Court vide common order dated 04.01.2021 in W.P. (C) No.20080 of 2019 had allowed the said Writ Petitions and directed the Opposite Party/Assistant Labour Commissioner, Ganjam to consider the application of the petitioners as provided under Section 12 of the Industrial Disputes Act and furnish a report before the appropriate Government within a period of four weeks on production of the copy of the order. The order dated 04th January, 2021 was communicated by the petitioner to the Opposite Party/Assistant

However, it is the case of the petitioner that the Opposite Party has not yet complied with the order dated 04.01.2021. Aggrieved by the inaction, the petitioner has preferred this contempt petition. 3.

During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the order dated 04.01.2021 passed by this Court in W.P.(C) No.20080 of 2019 has been complied with by the Opposite Party/Assistant Labour Commissioner, Ganjam.

In view of the above submission, the contempt proceedings are dropped and the CONTC is disposed of as infructuous.
