This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner as well as learned counsel for the State.

The Writ Petition has been filed by the Petitioner with the following prayer:

"The petitioner therefore prays that your Lordships would graciously be pleased to admit this writ application, issue notice to the Opp. Parties, call for the records and after hearing the parties, allow the same with cost and issue writ / writs in the nature of certiorari / mandamus and passing any other or further order(s)/direction(s) commanding the Opp. Parties Authorities particularly O.P. No. 4/Settlement Officer Cuttack Major Settlement, Cuttack to take immediate step for releasing the petitioner's final pension and pensionary benefits calculating his job contract service and regular service for the said pension and pensionary benefits w.e.f. his date of retirement 28.02.2002 within a stipulated time at the rate of 18% interest for delay;

And pass any other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper;

// 2 // And for this act of kindness, the petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray."

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that ventilating his grievance, Petitioner has filed a grievance petition before the, Settlement Officer, Major Settlement Office, Cuttack (Jobra), Opposite Party No.4, dated 10.04.2018 under Annexure-6, which according to the Petitioner is pending before the Authority for consideration.

Considering the limited nature of grievance and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the Settlement Officer, Major Settlement Office, Cuttack (Jobra), Opposite Party No.4, to consider the representation of the Petitioner dated 10.04.2018 (Annexure-6) within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, strictly in accordance with law by passing a speaking and reasoned order. Decision so taken be communicated to the Petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
