This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

2. Petitioner-Ranjan Kumar Sabat is stated to be one of the LRs of late Niranjan Sabat. The father is stated to have died on 25th March, 2021, and during his lifetime had availed Cash Credit Loan facilities for his proprietorship concern-Maa Mangala Book Store situated at Unit-IV Market, Bhubaneswar for a sum of Rs.2 Lakhs from Orissa State Co-operative Bank, Main Branch, Bhubaneswar.

Due to financial indiscipline, the Bank had initiated the recovery process by appointment of an Arbitrator, which has resulted into an award in favour of the Bank for realization of outstanding dues of Rs.2,20,387/- as on 31st December, 2005 along with interest and penal interest.

3. The claim raised in the present Writ Petition is for a direction to the Bank for providing the account statements in order to avail the benefit of any prevailing OTS.

4. At the time of hearing realizing that the required information can be obtained by filing an application under the RTI Act, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for permission to withdraw the Writ Petition to avail the available remedy in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above, the Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid liberty.
