Heard Mr. S. Senapati, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 2.

According to Mr. Senapati, the petitioner, which happens to be a Self Help Group, is aggrieved by the inaction of the opposite parties more particularly, opposite party No.3-SubCollector, Nayagarh in appointing it as a dealer under the Odisha Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2016 though it has applied for such dealership under Annexure-2 series during 2020-21. He further submits that though highlighting all its grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation under Annexure-4 before the Sub-Collector, Nayagarh (opposite party No.3) however, till date no decision has been taken on the same. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the said opposite party to take a decision on such application within a specific time period. 3.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court

// 2 // directs the Sub-Collector, Nayagarh (opposite party No.3) to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner under Annexure-4 in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of a copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 4.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 5.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
