This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement Order No.

(Virtual/Physical Mode).

This interlocutory application has been filed by the Petitioner seeking extension of time to surrender before the court below pursuant to order dated 13.06.2022 passed by this Court in the aforesaid bail application.

Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner. 4.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that due to illness the Petitioner, he could not surrender before the court below. However, he is ready and willing to surrender at the moment. 5.

Learned counsel for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for extension of time to surrender before the court below by

stating that although the order was passed on 13.06.2022, but till now the Petitioner has not surrendered before the court below which shows disrespect the order of this Court.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for both the sides, this Court in the interest of justice is inclined to extend the time to surrender of the Petitioner before the court below. 7.

Accordingly, the time to surrender of the Petitioner before the court below is extended to another four weeks from today subject to deposit of a sum of Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand) in the Advocates' Welfare Fund of the Orissa High Court Bar Association within fifteen days hence and furnishing money receipt thereof in proof of deposit.

It is made clear that, if the cost is not deposited within the stipulated time, time extended for the Petitioner to surrender shall stand revoked automatically.

The I.A. is disposed of accordingly.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
