Pratik Agrawal v. State Of Odisha
IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK
ABLAPL No.5696 of 2022 Pratik Agrawal ....
Petitioner -versusState of Odisha ....
Opposite Party CORAM: JUSTICE S. PUJAHARI
ORDER
22.07.2022 Order No.
01.
1.
This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
2.
The Petitioner apprehending his arrest in Kantabanji P.S. Case No.242 of 2021 registered for alleged commission of offences punishable under Sections 384, 467, 506 and 120-B of the I.P.C., has filed this petition for his release on pre-arrest bail.
3.
Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned counsel for the State.
4.
It appears that the Petitioner had come to this Court in ABLAPL No.14037 of 2021 which was disposed of on merit. Thereafter, he, being not satisfied with that order, has again approached this Court by filing this bail application for his release on pre-arrest bail.
// 2 // 5.
Learned counsel for the Petitioner during course of argument submits that he does not want to press this petition for pre-arrest bail since the Petitioner intends to surrender and move for bail before the court below. However, he submits that direction may be given to the court below to dispose of the bail application of the Petitioner on the same day. 6.
I am not inclined to do so, as there is no justifiable reason for the same.
7.
Accordingly, the ABLAPL stands dismissed.
