1. By way of this writ petition, the petitioners have prayed for Order No.
issuance of a direction to Opp. Party No.1-the Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch, Economic Offence Wings and Task Force, Bhubaneswar, Odisha to enquire into the matter of cheating of more than Rs.200 crores made by the Managing Director of OSCAR, a Public Limited Company.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners, however, states that the petitioners may be given liberty to file appropriate application ventilating their grievance before the competent authority/Court/Commission under the provisions of the Odisha Protection of Interests of Depositors (In Financial Establishments) Act, 2011 and a direction may be issued to the concerned authority/Court/Commission to consider and dispose of such application in accordance with law.
3. Considering the submissions made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, it is directed that if such an application is made by the petitioners ventilating their grievance before the competent authority/Court /Commission, the same shall be considered and disposed of in accordance with law. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. In view of the disposal of the writ petition, the Misc. Cases/I.As connected to this writ petition, if any, are also disposed of.
