This matter is taken up today in the National Lok Adalat through hybrid mode.

Learned counsels for the appellant and Respondent No.1claimant are present. The memo in support of the compromise between the appellant and Respondent No.1 is kept on record. The vakalatnama filed on behalf of the Respondent No.1-Amiya Ranjan Mahana is also kept in the record.

The Learned Addl. District Judge -cum- 3rd M.A.C.T., Bargarh had directed the appellant to pay an amount of Rs.1,56,500/- (Rupees one lakh fifty-six thousand five hundred only) to the Claimants-respondent no.1 and 2 along with interest

// 2 // at the rate of 7.5% per annum from the date of filing till date of payment, vide judgment dated 28.02.2018.

It is now agreed between the Appellant and ClaimantRespondent No.1 that a consolidated amount of Rs.5,80,000/- (Rupees five lakh eighty thousand only) shall be paid by the insurance company to the claimants-respondent nos.1 and 2 within a period of eight weeks.

It is therefore directed that the appellant-insurance company shall deposit the aforesaid consolidated amount of Rs.5,80,000/- (Rupees five lakh eighty thousand only) within a period of eight weeks from today before the Tribunal. The Tribunal shall apportion the amount among the claimants. 5.

As the settlement is arrived at before the National Lok Adalat, no court fee shall be levied. On production of proof of deposit, the statutory amount shall be refunded to the appellant Insurance Company along with accrued interest, on proper application.

The MACA is accordingly disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
