1. Heard Mr. S.B. Mohanty, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. P.K. Parhi, learned A.S.G. along with Mr. D.R. Bhokta, learned counsel for the Opposite Party No.1.

2. The Petitioner claiming to be a retrenched workman has raised a dispute before the Regional Labour Commissioner (Central), Bhubaneswar-Opposite Party No.2 by filing an application under Annexure-2 for conciliation under Section 12 of the Industrial Disputes Act. His grievance is that despite he having preferred the application on 8.3.2022, no action has been taken till date by the authorities on the same.

3. Thus considering the limited nature of grievance of the Petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Opposite Party No.2 to take steps on his application for conciliation dated 8.3.2022 under Annexure-2 in accordance with

law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits.

4. An urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
