This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The Petitioner in this writ petition prays for a direction to the Opposite Parties to restore the power supply to the residence of the Petitioner and to pay her compensation as per the calculation sheet under Annexure-6 for causing harassment to her and further to pay penalty amount of Rs.1,000/- per day for default on the part of Opposite Parties to restore power supply as per the provision of Section 43 of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003.

Mr. Dash, learned counsel for the Opposite Parties submits that in spite of best efforts of the officials, the Petitioner is not allowing to restore power supply to her residence. The Opposite Parties are ready to restore power supply to the residence of the Petitioner, but due to non-cooperation and obstruction caused by her, power supply to her residence could not be restored.

In view of the submission made by Mr. Dash, learned counsel for the Opposite Parties, this writ petition is disposed of

// 2 // with a direction that the Opposite Parties shall restore power supply to the premises of the Petitioner on or before 5th August, 2022 and the Petitioner shall not cause any obstruction in doing so. If the Petitioner is not interested to resume power supply to her residence, she may give it in writing. The Opposite Parties, if so required, may take police assistance to avoid law and order situation.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
