Heard Mr.K.Dang, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.K.Mohanty, learned Addl. Standing Counsel. 2.
According to Mr.Dang the petitioner is aggrieved by inaction of the authorities in extending him the benefits by giving a homestead land as is permissible under the Odisha Rehabilitation and Resettlement Policy, 2006 as his land has been acquired for the purpose of construction of Lower Suktel Irrigation Project in the district of Bolangir. In this connection he draws our attention to Clause(a) of Type(C) of clause-III of Para-8 of the above noted policy dealing with Rehabilitation Assistance. 3.
During course of hearing he submits that though he has filed a grievance petition on 26.10.2021 under Annexure-3 before the Project Officer, Lower Suktel Irrigation Project Laltikra, Balangir (opposite party No.3) on this issue and though the same was duly acknowledged by the Office of the said opposite party but till date no decision has been taken on the same. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the above representation under Annexure-3 within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Project Officer, Lower Suktel Irrigation Project Laltikra, Balangir (opposite party No.3) to take a decision on the above noted grievance petition dated 26.10.2021 under Annexure-3 in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 5.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 6.
Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
