2. Heard Mr. P.K.Nayak, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. P.K.Parhi, learned ASGI.

3. The Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit the writ application, issue notice to the opp. parties, call for the records and after hearing from the parties be pleased to direct the Opp. Party No.2 for reissuance Passport immediately; (ii) And may further be pleased to pass any other order (s)/ direction (s) as this Hon'ble Court deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case". 4.

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation on 06.05.2022 at Annexure-6 to the Writ Petition before the opposite party No.2 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party no.2 to take a

// 2 // decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order and by giving personal hearing to the Petitioner.

It is however submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that in the meantime the Petitioner shall take all steps to get the matter compromised in 1.C.C. Case No.3317/20221.
