Heard Mr.S.P.Sarangi, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr. H.M.Dhal, learned Addl. Government Advocate and Mr.P.K.Parhi, learned ASGI for Odisha.

According to Mr.Sarangi, learned counsel for the petitioners, the petitioners are aggrieved by the proposed action of the authorities to take the Jeypore-Nabarangpur railway link project on a part of their firm, which would affect their firming operations. In this context, he also relies upon a letter written by tlhe Tahasildar, Borigumma dated 06.05.2022 under Annexure-6 to the Sub-Collector, Jeypore containing a report on the same issue.

During course of hearing, Mr. Sarangi, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioners to file a detailed representation before the opp. party No.1 for redressal of their grievances and further a direction may be given to the opp. party No.1 to dispose of such representation within a stipulated period. 4.

Considering such submission and without expressing any

opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioners to file a detailed representation before the Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management Department representing opp. party No.1 within a period of two weeks along with a copy of this order by speed post. In the event, such a representation is received by the above noted officer, he is directed to take a decision on such representation in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such decision to the petitioners. 5.

With the above observation and direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
