This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The Petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition with the following prayer:- It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit the writ application, Issue notice to the Opposite Parties to show cause as to why direction shall not be given to Land Acquisition Officer, Puri to disburse the compensation amount in respect of the land involved in the suit under Annexure-3 in any favour rather than the petitioners, considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances. If the opp. parties do not show cause or show insufficient cause Rule NISI shall be made absolute And pass any order/orders, direction/directions, writ/writs as this Hon'ble Court thinks fit and proper." 4.

He further submits that through highlighting their grievances, the petitioners have filed a representation vide Annexure-5 to the Writ Petition, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, they pray that a direction be issued to opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the above noted

petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioners.
