Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 22.02.2022 in connection with Nayapalli P.S. Case No.99 of 2022 corresponding to C.T. Case No.1029 of 2022 pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Bhubaneswar for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 341/307/326/506/34 of IPC.

It is alleged that the petitioner and his friends brutally assaulted the injured using deadly weapons causing seriously injuries on his person. From the materials in record, it appears that the main assailants are some other persons, while the petitioner is said to have facilitated the occurrence.

Considering the above facts as also the period of detention in custody, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall appear before the trial court below on each date of posting of the case without fail.

BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
