Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 31.03.2022 in connection with Gondia P.S. Case No. 86 of 2022 corresponding to G.R. Case No.166 of 2022 pending in the court of learned J.M.F.C., Gondia for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 498(A)/302/304-B/34 of IPC read with Section 4 of the D.P. Act. 4.

The petitioner is the father-in-law of the deceased. He is said to have been killed by her husband and in-laws after subjecting her to cruelty in connection with demand for dowry. It is submitted that the allegations against the petitioner are omnibus in nature and the deceased committed suicide because of some other reasons.

4. Considering the submissions made, the materials on record and the period of detention in custody, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that the petitioner shall personally appear before the trial court on each date of posting of the case without fail.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
