This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode). Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the State.

This is an application under section 439 of Cr.P.C. in connection with Narayanpatna P.S. Case No.59 of 2018 corresponding to C.T. Case No.14 of 2019 pending in the Court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Koraput for offences punishable under sections 458, 341, 294, 323, 302, 201, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 4(i) of the Odisha Prevention of Witch Hunting Act.

// 2 // The prayer for bail of the petitioners was rejected by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Koraput vide order dated 23.02.2022.

Perused the status report furnished by the learned trial Court dated 10.10.2022 from which it reveals that out of fourteen charge sheet witnesses, ten witnesses were examined by the prosecution and the rest witnesses were declined and argument was heard on 10.10.2022 and the case was posted to 20.10.2022 for judgment.

In view of the status report, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. The prayer for bail of the petitioners stands rejected.

The BLAPL stands dismissed.
