Mr. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel, based on office Memo No.253/Vig. Cell. Con dated 19.11.2022 submits that in compliance of the directions passed by this Court in W.P.(C) (PIL) No.22281 of 2019 on 16th December, 2019, the Verifying Officer has on many occasions summoned the petitioner to provide additional information so as to take the investigation of I.R. No.70 to its logical end. However, the petitioner time and again is avoiding to appear before the Verifying Officer on some pretext or the other. The aforesaid memo be taken on record.
In view of the above, he submits that the order passed by this Court for deciding the representation has been complied with in letter and spirit.

Keeping in view the order passed by this Court & the nature of investigation to be conducted, we find no willful disobedience on the part of any Officer. Hence, the contempt proceedings are liable to be dropped.

In view of the above, the present Contempt Petition is accordingly dismissed.
