This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode). Heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Additional Government Advocate for the State of Odisha.
This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners with a grievance that the opposite party no.4Tahasildar, Dharmasala has not considered the objection and grievances under Annexure-2. The petitioners have approached this Court with payer to stop the sand sairat of Raichhanda Brahmani River, in Jajpur District.
During course of argument, learned counsel for the petitioners confines his prayer for a direction to the
// 2 // Tahasildar, Dharmasala-opposite party no.4 to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioners dated 08.04.2022 under Annexure-2 within a stipulated time.
Learned counsel for the State has no objection to such prayer.
Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties and without going into the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the opposite party no.4-Tahasildar, Dharmasala to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioners dated 08.04.2022 under Annexure-2 within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioners.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
