Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Government Advocate for the State.

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking following relief:

"It is therefore most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously please to admit the writ petition and issue Rule Nisi calling upon the Opposite Parties to show cause as to why the Lady Matrons shall not be given full responsibility to run the hostel mess as per the guideline including procurement of food stuff.

And /or as to why the Mess Management of SC/ST Girls Hostel shall not be considered as a measure of empowerment and capacity building for lady matrons.

And if they show no cause or show insufficient cause this Hon'ble court may be pleased to make the rule absolute.

And pass such further order/orders as deemed fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case."

In course of hearing it is brought to the notice of the Court that ventilating the self same grievance, representations have

been submitted to the Principal Secretary to Government, ST & SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department, copies of which have been enclosed as Annexure5 series. 5.

It is submitted that such representations are still pending. 6.

Learned Addl. Government Advocate submits that if such representations are pending the same are to be decided by the appropriate authority in accordance with law. 7.

Considering the submissions as above and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court deems it proper to dispose of the writ petition directing the opposite party no.1 to dispose of such representations, if pending, within a period of two weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
