This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode).

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Addl. Government Advocate for the State of Odisha.

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner Dilip Kanhar with a prayer to direct the opposite party no.1 Collector, Nayagarh to dispose of his representation dated 07.01.2022 under Annexure-2 within a stipulated period.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the said representation has not yet been considered and the concerned authority may be directed to consider the same

// 2 // within a stipulated period after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the State has no objection to the prayer made in the writ petition regarding disposal of representation.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties and in view of the limited nature of grievance of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of directing the opposite party no.1 Collector -cum- District Magistrate, Nayagarh to consider the representation dated 07.01.2022 of the petitioner under Annexure-2 and dispose of the same within a period of four weeks after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

The opposite party no.1 shall act upon the certified copy of the order produced before him with the copy of the writ petition.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
