This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

This is an application under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed by the Petitioner for bail in connection with Nayapally P.S.Case No.237 of 2020, corresponding to T.R. Case No.259 of 2020, pending in the Court of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Bhubaneswar for alleged commission of offence under Sections 376(L)(AB) of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 6 of POCSO Act.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner prays that the trial court be directed to expedite the trial and the same be concluded within a stipulated period of time.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the trial court to expedite trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four months. In the event trial

// 2 // is not concluded within the aforesaid period, it is open for the Petitioner to move an application for bail and in the event such a bail application is filed the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
