Jitendra Mohapatra v. Republic Of India
IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK
W.A. No.525 of 2016 Jitendra Mahapatra ....
Appellant Mr. Niranjan Panda, Advocate -versusRepublic of India ....
Respondent None
CORAM:
THE CHIEF JUSTICE JUSTICE CHITTARANJAN DASH
ORDER
13.10.2022 Order No.
02.
1. Having examined the impugned order of the learned Single Judge, the Court notes that already a lenient view has already been taken in the matter and the sentence has been reduced to R.I. for just seven days. Certainly, the Appellant cannot be aggrieved by such drastically reduced sentence. This is irrespective of the fact that the appeal itself may not be maintainable against such an order of a learned Single Judge in a criminal revision case.
2. Accordingly, the present writ appeal is dismissed but in the circumstances with no order as to costs.
