This application under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. has been field by the Petitioner with a prayer to quash the proceeding in G.R. Case No.157 of 2010, arising out of Ganjam P.S. Case No.28 of 2010, pending in the court of S.D.J.M., Chatrapur. 3.

The Petitioner having launched the prosecution against the Opposite Parties No.2 to 5 before the Ganjam P.S. Case No.28 of 2010 for alleged commission of offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 306, 506 read with Section 34 of the I.P.C. and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act where charge sheet having been filed, wants to compromise the matter.

Since the Petitioner-Informant has no locus standi to seek quashment of the proceeding and the offences are heinous and serious in nature, this Court is not inclined to entertain the prayer made in this petition.

Accordingly, the CRLMC stands dismissed.
