1. This matter is taken up through virtual mode.

2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

3. The Petitioner is in custody in connection with Manamunda P.S. Case No.110(7)/2012 corresponding to G.R. Case No.238D/2012 pending in the court of learned Addl. District and Sessions Judge, Kantamal for the alleged commission of the offence under Sections 147/148/341/294/323/324/325/302/149 of I.P.C.

4. Considering the nature of accusations and the existence of materials prima facie in support thereof as also the fact that the Petitioner had absconded for long time and in the original trial one of the co-accused has been convicted, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore rejected.

5. It is submitted that the Petitioner's child is suffering from sickle-cell anemia, and that he may be released on bail to arrange treatment of his son. Such being the case, it is directed if any such application is filed before the court below, the same shall be considered on its own merit.
