This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode).
The petitioner has filed this writ petition with the following prayer:- "Under such facts and circumstances, this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit this writ application, call for the records, and after hearing parties may be pleased to issue a Writ/Writs, Order/orders, Direction/directions in the nature of Mandamus directing the opposite parties more particularly to the Collector, Nuapada (Opp. Party No.2) not to accord sanction/permission for relinquishment of land vide Khata No.6, under Unit No.3, Khariar NAC, Tahasil, Khariar, and make alternative arrangement for relinquishment for granting Land Rights Certificates under Land Rights to Slum Dwellers Act, 2017 in either Khariar-Bhawanipatna Road, Khariar-Sinapalli Road or Khariar-Kantabanji Road; because sufficient government lands are available by taking into consideration the objection/grievance petition by way of
// 2 // representation.
And further may pass any other order/orders, direction/directions as this Hon'ble Court considers fit and proper.
And for this act of kindness, the petitioner shall as in duty bound ever pray."
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed representation on 09.05.2022 before the Collector, Nuapada-Opposite Party no.2, which is received on 10.05.2022, but till date no decision has yet been taken on the same. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to Opposite Party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted representation within a specific time period.
Learned counsel for the State has no objection to such prayer.
Considering the submissions made and in view of the limited nature of relief sought for, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs Opposite Party No.2Collector, Nuapada to take a decision on the above noted representation under Annexure-5 in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
With the aforesaid direction, the Writ Petition

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
