IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK

CRLMC No.1562 of 2022 Sri Rama Chandra Pala ....

Petitioner versusState of Odisha and another ....

Opposite Parties CORAM: JUSTICE S. PUJAHARI Order No.

ORDER

06.07.2022 01.

1.

This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2.

This application under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. has been filed by the Petitioner with a prayer to quash the order of cognizance dated 31st August, 2020 passed by the learned S.D.J.M., Gunupur in G.R. Case No.293 of 2019.

3.

Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner. 4.

The Petitioner has sought for quashment of the order of cognizance on the ground that he being an aged person and residing far away, the prosecution is liable to be quashed. 5.

Since the aforesaid can hardly be a ground to quash the aforesaid proceeding, this Court is of the view that the prayer made in this petition has no substance.

6.

Accordingly, the CRLMC stands dismissed at the stage of admission.
