The Petitioner in this writ petition seeks for a direction to release the vehicle bearing Registration No.JH-O1DQ-5833 (TATA LPK), which has been seized by the forest officials for the alleged commission of offence under the provisions of the Orissa Forest Act, 1972.

In course of hearing, Mr. Mahalik, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that since interim release of the vehicle is not permissible under the Orissa Forest Act, a direction may be made for early disposal of the confiscation proceeding. 4.

Taking into consideration the submission of learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is disposed of with an observation that the Petitioner, if so advised, may move the Authorized Officer-cum-D.F.O., Keonjhar-Opposite Party No.2 for early disposal of the confiscation proceeding, if any. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
