This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The Petitioners in this writ petition pray for a direction for early disposal of OLR Misc. Case No. 18 of 2020 filed by them under Section 22 of the Orissa Land Reforms Act, 1960. 3.

It is submitted by Mr. Muduli, learned counsel for the Petitioners that in order to meet their legal necessity, the Petitioners filed an application under Section 22 of the O.L.R. Act, which was registered as OLR Misc Case No. 18 of 2020. It is his submission that till date, no action has been taken by the SubCollector, Sadar, Cuttack on the said application for which the Petitioners are highly prejudiced. Hence, finding no other alternative, they have filed this writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

Mr. Mohapatra, learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that he has no instruction in this matter and if the aforesaid O.L.R. Misc Case is still pending before Sub-Collector, Sadar, Cuttack, he may be directed to take a decision on the same in accordance with law.

Taking into consideration the innocuous nature of the prayer made by the Petitioners, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case of the Petitioners disposes of this writ petition with a direction that on production of certified copy of this order within a period of two weeks hence, the SubCollector, Sadar, Cuttack-Opposite Party No.3 shall do well to take a decision in OLR Misc Case No. 18 of 2020 giving opportunity of hearing to the parities concerned, if the same is still pending and there is no legal impediment.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
