The grievance of the Petitioners in this writ petition is with regard to non-consideration of their case for extension of benefit under Rajib Awas Yojana (RAY) Scheme (Annexure-3). 3.
Mr. Dash, learned counsel for the Petitioners submits that the Petitioners are BPL Card Holders and they made an application for extension of benefit under the Rajib Awas Yojana (RAY) Scheme, but their case have not yet been considered. Hence, finding no other alternative, they have moved this Court in the present writ petition for redressal of the aforesaid grievances. 4.
Mr. Mishra, learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that the application made under Annexure-1 reveals that only Petitioner Nos. 1, 2, 3, 6,8,10 and 12 are the signatory to it. He further submits that the Petitioner Nos. 4, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13 have neither made any application for extension of benefit under Rajib Awas Yojana (RAY) Scheme nor have submitted any document in support of their case. The Petitioners have different causes of
// 2 // actions. Thus, they cannot join together to maintain one writ petition. Hence, he prays for dismissal of the writ petition. 5.
Taking into consideration the limited nature of grievance made by the Petitioners, this Court without expressing any opinion either on maintainability of the writ petition or on merits of the case of the Petitioners disposes of this writ petition with a direction that in the event the Petitioners make individual applications for extension of benefit under Rajib Awas Yojana (RAY) Scheme to the Commissioner, Berhampur Municipal Corporation- Opposite Party No.2 within a period of two weeks hence along with certified copy of this order, the same shall be considered and disposed of in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months therefrom.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
