Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioners have filed this writ petition with the following prayer:- " It is, therefore, prayed that, in the premises stated above this Hon'ble Court may be graciously pleased to admit this case, issue notice to the opposite parties and after hearing all the parties to this writ petition, may be pleased to quash the list of eligible candidates passed by the election Officer, Balisahipatna PACS on dtd. 4.6.2022 under Annexure-1.
And may issue any mandamus, direction/directions, order/orders to the Opposite parties, to provide details of the reasoned order for cancellation of the nomination papers of the petitioners, if said rejection of nomination paper are not in accordance with Law then the petitioners
nomination may be declared as valid and accordingly the petitioners may be permitted to participate in the said election, which is to be conducted on 19.6.2022.
And may pass any other order/orders as would be deem fit and proper;
And for this act of kindness, the petitioners as in duty bound shall every pray."

The petitioners have challenged the legality and correctness of the list of valid nomination papers published by the Election Officer of Balisahi Patna PACS on 04.06.2022 and to provide the details and the grounds of rejection of nomination papers of the petitioners. 5.
Mr. S. Nayak, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State submits that ventilating their grievances, the petitioners have already approached the Election Officer by submitting representations under Annexure-4 series and therefore, it is for the said authority to take a decision at the first instance. 6.
Considering the submissions as above as also keeping in view the fact that the election is fixed to 19th of this month, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to opposite party No. 5 to take a decision on the representation said to be pending before him by 17th June, 2022 under intimation to the petitioners. 7.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 8.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted in course of the day.
