Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner has filed Election Misc. Case No. 18 of 2022 and his grievance as set out in the present writ application is that the petition has not been taken up for hearing and is being adjourned repeatedly.

Considering the innocuous nature of prayer, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to learned Court below to try and dispose of the election petition as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period six months, if there is no other legal impediment.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 6.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
