Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Addl. Government Advocate for the State.

The petitioners have approached this Court with the following prayer:

"It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that Your Lordships may be graciously pleased to issue a writ of certiorari quashing the final voter list dated 28.05.2022 filed under Annexure-6 issued by the Opp. Party No. 1 and 2;

To issue a writ of mandamus directing the Opposite Parties to prepare a new final list of voters as per the guidelines/norms/rules issued by the Government; To issue Rule Nisi;

And pass such other order/s as this Hon'ble Court may deem just and proper;"

In course of hearing it is brought to notice of this Court that ventilating such grievance, the petitioners have submitted their representation addressed to the Election Officer, Gopal Jew, P.S.C.S., Alipingal (opposite party no.2) on 22.05.2022, but the same is yet to be considered.

Having regard to the fact that the election is scheduled to be held on 19th June, 2022, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Election Officer, Gopal Jew, P.S.C.S., Alipingal to consider and dispose of representation said to be pending before him by 18th June, 2022.

Election Officer, Gopal Jew, P.S.C.S., Alipingal shall act upon a soft copy of this order as uploaded in the Court's website to be produced by the petitioners.
