Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayer:

"It is, therefore, prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit this writ application and issue a RULE NISSI calling upon the Opp. Parties to show-cause as to whyA. The impugned order dtd.03.06.2022 under Annexure-7 shall not be set aside/questioned; and B. The category of the petitioner shown as S.C. in the final electoral roll under Annexure-4 shall not be corrected as S.T.; and C. The application of the petitioner along with the relevant documents under Annexure-5 shall not be considered in affirmative; and D. The category of the petitioner shall not be held to be S.T; and E. The nomination filed by the petitioner for the election in question shall not be accepted to be valid; And if the said Opp. Parties fail to show-cause or show insufficient cause issue appropriate writ/writs to the following effectA. The impugned order dtd.03.06.2022 under Annexure-7 be set aside/quashed; and B. The category of the petitioner shown as S.C. in the final electoral roll under Annexure-4 be corrected as S.T.; and

C. The application of the petitioner along with the relevant documents under Annexure-5 be considered in affirmative; and D. The category of the petitioner be held to be S.T.; and E. The nomination filed by the petitioner for the election in question be accepted to be valid;

And pass any other or further order/orders, direction/directions as deems fit and proper under the fitness of the facts and circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice;"

In course of hearing it is brought to notice of this Court that ventilating such grievance, the petitioner has submitted his representation addressed to the Election Officer, Utkal Cooperative Bank Limited, Kharavel Nagar, Bhubaneswar (opposite party no.4) on 23.05.2022, but the same is yet to be considered.

Having regard to the fact that the election is scheduled to be held on 19th June, 2022, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Election Officer, Utkal Co-operative Bank Limited, Kharavel Nagar, Bhubaneswar to consider and dispose of representation said to be pending before him by 18th June, 2022.

The Election Officer, Utkal Co-operative Bank Limited, Kharavel Nagar, Bhubaneswar shall act upon a soft copy of this order as uploaded in the Court's website to be produced by the petitioner.
