This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

According to Ms. Patra, the Petitioner is a street vendor and has been issued with a certificate for street vending and a street vending identity card vide Annexure-1 by the Deputy Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation. Accordingly, he is carrying on his business for many years at Mangala Mandir Chhak, Sailashree Vihar, Near Fire Station, Ward No.8, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar. Though he has applied for renewal of his Identity Card under Annexure-4 dated 21.04.2022 and made representation for allotment of a kiosk/vending shed under Annexure-5 dated 28.01.2022 before the Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (Opposite Party No.3), till date nothing has been done. In such back ground, he prays that a direction may be issued to Opposite Party No.3 to take a decision on

// 2 // Annexures-4 & 5 within a specific time period. 3.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs Opposite Party No.3-Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation to take a decision on the above noted applications under Annexures-4 & 5 in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the Petitioner. Till a decision is taken, no coercive action shall be taken against the Petitioner. 4.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
