1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode. Order No.
2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.
3. The Petitioner is in custody since 8th May, 2022 in connection with Kujanga O.R.
Case No.2KJ/2022-23 corresponding to 2 (b)C.C. No.1/2022 pending in the court of learned J.M.F.C., Kujanga for the alleged commission of the offence under Sections 9,27,31,49-B(v) of Wild Life Protection Act.

4. It is alleged that the Petitioner was carrying 25 kgs of deer meat when he was apprehended by the forest officials. He is said to have confessed of killing a deer within the forest area. It is found that except for the so called confession, there is no other material to implicate the Petitioner in the alleged occurrence.
5. Considering the submissions made, the materials on record and the fact that investigation into the case appears to have progressed substantially as also taking into consideration the period of detention in custody, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the Petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as may be imposed by the court in seisin over the matter in the aforesaid case including the condition that he shall appear personally before the court below on each date of posting of the case without fail.
6. The BLAPL is disposed of.
7. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
